FAQ

Questions suppliers and brokers ask

The questions that come up before a demo, answered directly. Nothing here is a claim the platform cannot be shown doing.

What is DigiKeep?

DigiKeep is renewals software for energy suppliers and brokers. It takes a book of meters coming up for renewal, cleanses and verifies the data on import, emails every customer on a timed campaign, prices each meter live when they open the link, and closes the contract with a DocuSign signature — without an agent having to touch the deal unless the customer wants one. It is built and run by Ukora.

Who is DigiKeep for?

DigiKeep is for the team that owns a renewals book: energy suppliers renewing their own customers, and brokers renewing on a supplier's behalf. It is aimed at books large enough that renewals are worked as campaigns rather than one call at a time, and it is used by the whole chain around them — agents working the pipeline, pricing managers uploading rate books, team leads approving discounts, and finance reconciling what was sold.

Which energy markets and fuels does DigiKeep cover?

DigiKeep prices and renews across 3 markets: UK gas, UK electricity, and US electricity in the ERCOT (Texas) market. A UK gas meter is identified by its MPRN and a UK electricity meter by its MPAN, and both are priced from the rate book loaded against their campaign together with their own characteristics — consumption, contract end date, distributor and settlement details. US electricity is priced on state, utility, congestion zone and load factor rather than on the meter number.

Does DigiKeep run under our own brand?

Yes. Each supplier is served on its own domain, and every customer-facing page on it — the landing page, the renewal journey, the quote and the contract — carries that supplier's logo and colours, with no mention of DigiKeep or Ukora. Renewal emails are sent from the supplier's own sending domain, and the link in them points at the supplier's domain rather than ours, so a customer never sees a third party in the journey.

How does a customer actually renew?

The customer follows the link in their renewal email and lands on a page showing live prices for their own meter. They pick a contract term, confirm their details, review the generated contract as a PDF, and sign it in DocuSign — all in the browser, with no call required. If they would rather speak to somebody, the same page takes a callback request, which is recorded against the meter so whoever rings back knows what the customer has already seen.

How many times is a customer contacted about a renewal?

Up to 3 times. A campaign has a renewal stage followed by two reminders, and each one is scheduled independently, so a supplier decides how far ahead of the contract end date the first email goes and how the reminders are spaced after it. A meter drops out of the sequence as soon as it is sold or marked unsellable — nobody is chased after the deal is done.

How does DigiKeep handle our rate books?

Rate books are uploaded as spreadsheets against a campaign and are read by an import map written for that supplier's own format, so a supplier does not have to change how its pricing team works. Uploading a new book prices every meter on the campaign against it and voids any quote a customer had open on the old rates, so a customer can never sign a price that has been withdrawn.

Can we import our meter data from a spreadsheet?

Yes, and the import is checked before it commits. An upload is previewed first, showing which rows will be created, which will be skipped and why, so a bad file is caught before it reaches the book. Password-protected workbooks are handled directly — the password is supplied with the upload and DigiKeep decrypts the file itself. Every imported meter is then verified and enriched against industry data before it is priced.

What is recorded against a meter?

Everything that happens to it, across 53 distinct event types. The trail covers each renewal and reminder email sent, opened and clicked, every rate import and price check, quotes created and voided, the contract created and signed, discounts requested, approved or rejected, callback requests, interactions your team logs, and every amendment to the customer's or the meter's details. That is what lets anyone picking up an account see exactly what the customer has already been told.

Who in our team can see and do what?

Access is set per team member across 16 separately grantable rights, so somebody can be given reporting without sales, pricing uploads without campaign settings, or finance without either. Two-factor authentication is required of every user before they can reach anything, and a finance-only member is held to the finance screens and cannot reach the renewals book at all.

Does DigiKeep integrate with DocuSign?

Yes — DocuSign is how every contract is signed. DigiKeep generates the contract, sends it for signature and tracks the envelope through to completion, so the signed PDF and the sale land against the meter without anyone rekeying them. Signing itself happens in DocuSign, which means the signature and its audit certificate are held by DocuSign rather than by us.

How much does DigiKeep cost?

Pricing depends on the size of the renewals book and which features are licensed, so it is quoted per supplier rather than published. Email [email protected] with roughly how many meters you renew a year and we will come back with a figure and a demo.

How do we see DigiKeep working on our own data?

Email [email protected] and ask for a demo. A demo is a twenty-minute call in which a sample of your own book is run through the platform — imported, cleansed, priced and taken to a signed contract — so what you are looking at is your meters rather than ours.

Still unanswered? There is more detail on the platform, how it works, security and integrations pages — or just ask us.
